The device has 1 GB of RAM and will be available in two storage variants of 8 GB and 16GB. It also has a micro SD card slot for up to 32 GB of additional storage along with 5 GB of cloud storage offered by Asus.

The Asus Fonepad is going to be a direct competition to the Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 P3100 whose 16 GB variant is currently retailing at around Rs 15,000.
